S.H.I.E.L.D Multi-Agency Child Protection Training
This course aims to explain the child protection process from strategy discussion / meeting through to a core group meeting. This will support professionals to understand their role and responsibilities to contribute to plans to keep children and young people safe.
Who should attend this training? This course is open to all staff who have regular contact with children and young people through their work.
When: 2 half day sessions
Wednesday 22nd June, (9.30am – 12.30pm) & Thursday 23rd June (2.00pm – 5.00pm)
you must attend both half-day sessions to complete the training

Course pre-reading requirements
To ensure course attendees are able to maximise participation, contributions and achieve the course learning outcomes, pre-reading would be required. The pre-reading consists of statutory guidance and multi-agency guidance to provide attendees with an understanding of how Children’s Social Care, Health, Police and Education work together. Useful resources will be shared on completion of the course.
