This course aims to explain the child protection process from strategy discussion / meeting through to a core group meeting. This will support professionals to understand their role and responsibilities to contribute to plans to keep children and young people safe.  

Who should attend this training? – This course is open to all staff who have regular contact with children and young people through their work.

Course pre-reading requirements  

To ensure course attendees are able to maximise participation, contributions and achieve the course learning outcomes, pre-reading will be required. The pre-reading consists of statutory and multi-agency guidance to provide attendees with an understanding of how Children’s Social Care, Health, Police and Education work together.   Useful resources will be shared on completion of the course.
