FORWARD is hosting free training for professionals working in London Borough of Bexley under the Prevention & Action Through Community Engagement &Training – (P&ACT) EHP Partnership project.

When:   Thursday 22nd June 2023,  10.00am -1.30pm

Where:  Online Via Zoom

No of Participants – Max 25 people.

 Training Objectives

  • Increase awareness of faith-based abuse
  • Enhance knowledge of support or facilities for those affected.
  • Gain awareness of the legal context surrounding faith-based abuse

Who should attend?

Health & social care professionals, Legal practitioners, Community organisations & leaders and Education professionals.

What do I get from this training?

  • Increase knowledge and skills for identifying those affected or at risk of faith-based abuse.
  • Enhanced and shared knowledge on multiple forms of gender-based violence that affect women and
  • girls, including faith-based abuse.
  • Ability to advocate to identify key barriers for women at risk and identify key referral routes for support.
  • Ability to describe the legislative and policy frameworks for the prevention of harmful practices and faith-based abuse, the safeguarding of women and girls, and the prosecution of perpetrators.


Level 3 Training for all health professionals

This training is part of the S.H.I.E.L.D. pilot for charging for non-attendance at training courses.
