This session is for all Professionals working in Bexley.

Session outline:

This training session is essential for Children’s Social Care, the Police, and Youth Justice Service, and desirable for professionals working in healthcare, education, working with victim or vulnerable children and young people, and in other frontline settings.

The session covers:

  • What is child exploitation and different forms of exploitation
  • Gender stereotypes and biases, and barriers to safeguarding
  • Grooming and recruitment methods and indicators
  • Disruption powers and applicable legislation
  • Safeguarding processes and risk assessing; the importance of multi-agency working
  • The National Referral Mechanism

This training is part of the S.H.I.E.L.D. pilot for charging for non-attendance.
